Use this board to suggest new books for discussion on Book Talk. You can suggest anything you like, but bear in mind these few pointers:
- Books do not have to be new, but they should be topical in some way. Newly published or republished, relating to something or somebody in the news or to a significant anniversary. (Being on your A-level reading list might work - try it!)
- A book will need to get some degree of support from other users for me to add it to the list of current discussions. So please agree or disagree with other users choices.
- This is not a reading circle. We don't have to all read the book at the same time. I will leave books up for as long as there is active discussion going on, then move them to an archive.
- I will act a benign dictator for the moment in choosing which books to add to the current books list. Later, when there are hopefully more than three of us, we can set up something more democratic.
- If you want to start discussion on a particular book straightaway, you are welcome to start a new thread in the "General Board".
- I'm making this up as I go along, so please feel free to put you 2d's worth in too.
